HTC Mogul

Tips & Tricks for your Mogul and other HTC Devices

Taking A Short Break

I won’t be posting any for the next two weeks, as I will be out of the country. I am going on a missions trip to Guatemala through my church (raleighfirst.org). I am not sure exactly what we will be doing but I know we will be putting on some children’s programs, painting, and maybe [...]

HTC Home

This home screen plug-in is pretty much the most used feature of my Mogul, since it is the first thing I see when I turn it on. This home screen mimics the home screen of the HTC Touch.

Button Problems

This is not really a tip or trick, just something to look out for on your Mogul. Basically, almost all of my hard buttons stopped working, with the exception of the QWERTY keyboard, power button, and d-pad. It sucks because I don’t have the equipment protection program offered by Sprint, so I can’t get it [...]

Freeing Up Memory (RAM)

Some people have noted that the amount of available memory on their Mogul decreases during the period of the day. I have a little program that will help with that. Also this may be the last post for the next week because I am going to help out at a summer camp.

A Better On Screen Keyboard

One of the primary reasons I bought the Mogul over say, the HTC Touch is its nice sliding QWERTY keyboard. While this is great if you have two hands free sometimes it is just not useful, say when you are walking down the street while carrying a bag or something. This is where the onscreen [...]

Windows Live Search

One of my favorite uses for my Mogul and its data plan is for maps and directions. Up untill now I had been using google maps for mobile, which does a very good job of finding locations and getting you directions. But after I tried WLS I was hooked.

Play All Audio Through A Normal Bluetooth Headset

So I found a pretty neat program, it lets you use any bluetooth headset as headphones (read headphone) for your Mogul. It is called acbToggleBT.

Slide2Unlock

One thing an iPhone has over Windows Mobile devices is definitely the software interface. What makes it so nice is the intuitive controls and finger friendliness. The Mogul was not really designed for fingers, but using software we can get a pretty good emulation.

A Better Browsing Experience

Pocket IE is not a terrible browser, it works great for viewing mobile sites, but there are much better solutions that will give you that desktop browsing feel. I’ll go through a few options then tell you which one I think is the best.
